Welcome to Auto Rent Sharka. By renting a vehicle from us, you agree to abide by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before booking.

1. Rental Requirements

1.1 Age Requirements
Renters must be at least 21 years old. Drivers under 25 may be subject to a young driver surcharge.

1.2 Driver’s License
All drivers must present a valid driver’s license, held for at least one year. International renters may need to provide an international driving permit alongside their license.

1.3 Payment Methods
A valid credit or debit card in the renter’s name is required to complete the booking. Prepaid cards are not accepted for deposits.

2. Rental Period

2.1 Rental Duration
The rental period is calculated on a 24-hour basis. Late returns may incur an additional charge, typically equal to one day’s rental rate.

2.2 Early Returns
If you return the vehicle earlier than the scheduled return date, no refunds will be issued for the unused rental days.

3. Vehicle Use

3.1 Authorized Drivers
Only the renter and additional drivers listed in the rental agreement are allowed to drive the vehicle.

3.2 Prohibited Uses
The vehicle may not be used for illegal activities, off-road driving, towing, or driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Violating these conditions will void the rental agreement and the renter may be liable for damages.

4. Insurance and Liability

4.1 Basic Insurance
All rentals include basic insurance, covering third-party liability. However, the renter is responsible for any damage to the rented vehicle unless additional coverage is purchased.

4.2 Optional Coverage
Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Theft Protection (TP), and Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) are available for purchase to limit your liability in case of damage or theft.

4.3 Excess/Deductible
In the event of damage, a deductible (excess) applies unless the renter has purchased full coverage insurance.

5. Fuel Policy

5.1 Fuel Levels
The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as at the start of the rental. If not, the renter will be charged for refueling costs.

5.2 Fuel Types
Using the incorrect fuel type will result in additional charges, including repairs and cleaning fees.

6. Mileage Limit

6.1 Limited Mileage
Some rentals include a mileage limit. Any additional mileage beyond this limit will incur an extra fee.

6.2 Unlimited Mileage
Certain vehicles may offer unlimited mileage as part of the rental agreement. Check your rental agreement for details.

7. Accidents and Breakdowns

7.1 Accidents
In the event of an accident, the renter must inform the rental company immediately and provide a police report. Failure to do so may result in the renter being held liable for damages.

7.2 Breakdowns
If the vehicle experiences a mechanical issue, contact the rental company for roadside assistance. Repairs carried out without the rental company’s consent will not be reimbursed.

8. Cancellations and Modifications

8.1 Cancellations
Cancellations made 48 hours before the rental start time will receive a full refund. Cancellations made after this period may incur a cancellation fee.

8.2 Modifications
Changes to the reservation, including vehicle type or rental period, are subject to availability and may involve additional costs.

9. Penalties and Fines

9.1 Traffic Violations
The renter is responsible for all traffic and parking fines incurred during the rental period. Any fines received after the rental period will be forwarded to the renter, along with an administrative fee.

9.2 Smoking and Pets
Smoking is prohibited in all vehicles. Violation of this rule will result in a cleaning fee. Pets are allowed in some vehicles, but the renter is responsible for any cleaning or damages caused.

10. Return Policy

10.1 Condition of Vehicle
The vehicle must be returned in the same condition it was rented, barring normal wear and tear. Any damage, excessive dirt, or odors will result in additional cleaning or repair charges.

10.2 Late Returns
Vehicles returned late will incur a late fee. Extensions to the rental period must be arranged in advance and are subject to availability.

11. Jurisdiction

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of Albania. Any disputes arising out of this agreement will be settled in the courts of Albania.
